150 Seconds worth of talktime
300 Smses
25 Sticks of Paddle Pop Icecream
3.5 Single Scoops of Higen Diaz Icecream
3.3 Macdonald's Happy Meal
AND FINALLY..
A VICTORIAN 130TH ANNIVERSARY YEARBOOK. (hardcover somemore leh!)
And the best thing is my face appeared four times! Occupying a total of 2cm². HAHA. Twice in a whole school photo, once in a class photo and finally one in a photo mr tan took of me and the other trackers who ran in the 2004 WINGS inter-school cross country. It's like so long ago, when i was still small and all!
My batch is really one lucky batch. We were the only batch that managed to experience a bit of the old school site and at the same time enjoy the most of our present school site. In addition, we are the graduating class of Victoria's 130th year!
Some pics here of the 'Victoria School Limited Edition goods'

Our beautiful 130th Anniversary Yearbook.

A whole school photo taken back in the old school in 2003.

Victoria Postcards (worth $10), Victoria Yearbook (worth$15) and Vintage Victoria Sparkling Drink (worth $0)
LOL. I feel so salesman-like, promoting my schoool products. And yes, i guess you would be probably thinking "what on earth does a school want to have a glass bottled drink for a soveneir?!" I have no idea too.
Anyway, this post was rather delayed due to my camera's spoilt lens which i had to replace. The black backdrop i used for this mini photoshoot really brings out the objects. Now i'm so into photography. After my O's i feel like asking for a camera with more manual functions and all. BUT, i have to see if i do well first. :)

Dear Victoria,
I just wanted to say HAPPY 130TH BIRTHDAY!! you are really OLDD.. no, Victoria's not a girl, it's my school for those who do not know.
Like WOW, everything's made so grand just for her 130th anniversary. Red carpets laid out, special limited edition Victoria School wine bottles, and many more. even the president paid a visit.
And OH YES, i love my school. i adore it. BUT i just didn't turn up for her birthday bash.
I'm loyal to my school, but apparently i'm more loyal to God. (and went to church) XD
And i don't think i missed out a lot. Hope you guys had fun!
(Sorry no pics this time, my camera is spoilt.)

Yesterday was the last time i went to support VS as a track and field boy at the National Track and Field Championships. time really flies and now it's my last year at it. really brings back memories of past track and field comps. oh well. haha.
B div got 3rd overall and C div didnt do too well with a 5th. My dearest twin jonathan edwards de cruz lost his 1500m to the sports school guy by 0.5secs, finishing with a time of 4min21sec. HE got a silver. His heats was 2secs faster. wasted.. nevermind..
I didn't follow the track guys for dinner but instead went with my class people. :D since, de cruz and jansen not eating, i may as well eat with my classmates despite having free pizzas. HAHA.
okay. i shall stop here and not post longgggggg posts. yup. pics below.

Group picture of most of the 4F boys present.

Me and Jiawei. (i don't know why we did that pose)

Me and John. (lovely pic eh?)

The twin jonathans in the centre!

today, i admit was the day when i did the most blur thing ever.
it was during morning assembly. we were asked to sit after we had taken the pledge.
'bright' jt then exlcaimed "EHHH. SO COOL. TODAY WE DON'T NEED TO TAKE PLEDGE"
apparently I HAD NO MEMORY AT ALL that i had taken the pledge. AND I STILL DONT REMEMBER AT THIS VERY MOMENT.
next thing everybody was laughing at me and saying how blur i was. haha. but that's not the point.
i mean I REALLY DONT REMEMBER TAKING THE PLEDGE LEH! even the people beside me assured me that i had taken the pledge, clenched my fists and reciting it. oh my. what is my world coming to. haha.
i THINK i was stoning. oh wait. was i sleeping? but if so, how come i can take the pledge?? this must be a scheme! an evil scheme out to trick jt! hahahaha.
but im serious. until now, i will still say i dont remember any pledge taking.
someone suggested i go see a doctor. LOL.

Victorian; standing out from the crowd

Dark days may come, but the victorian will overcome.
Nil Sine Labore.
Just some interesting photos relating to victoria's existence i found on flicker. Victoria School's 130th anniversary celebrations is coming in a few days' time. Time to be all so patriotic to my dearest school. The last year.

okay, i admit i can't cope. i can't cope with my studies and my other stuffs. and i seriously need help. :( at this rate i'm going to go nowhere. i can just kiss vjc goodbye.
i don't know why i'm having such a low morale. i feel i am just lagging so far behind. i'm not like before when i was able to cope so well.
i just feel so pressurized. time is pressing hard on me. people's expectations of me are increasing. 6 points here and there. arghh. i've had enough. my parents want to to get 7A1s by the way. -.-" prelims are already coming and i am not prepared.
i just feel so helpless. like utterly helpless. having a physics teacher that has not taught you 50% of what you ought to know. spending english lessons doing nothing. having no idea about history. not knowing how to do TYS geog questions even when there's a textbook to refer to. not even knowing how to do EMATHS, of all subjects. this is so frustrating! to know that you don't know, the feeling is TERRIBLE.
oh man. the list goes on. i can't just rely on only one subject which is my amaths. and my amaths isn't going well apparently. sigh sigh sigh.
i wish somebody can associate with the way i'm feeling. i wish i could have someone to literally spur me on. i wish i could have private tutors for all my subjects. i really wish someone could help me with my studies. i wish someone could help me with my homework. the amount of homework is killing me. wishes, wishes and wishes. unrealistic wishes.
i've realised my appetite's gone down too. i'm skipping meals here and there. not finishing my food at most times at home. eating only junk food.
i can't carry on at this pace. :(
i'm sorry for this sudden outburst of feelings. i just had to let it out. forgive me. i'm no superman.
God will make a way, when there seems to be no way.

Haha!
It was fun watching the world cup and conferencing at the same time. :D

Oh wait, i can't sleep. =\

Okay, i have decided to update on today and the 'old clique' gang thingy.
Well, today's the start of the National Inter-school Track and Field Competition. It's certainly such a pity i'm not able to represent the school even in my last year. But it's okay. After the sports school jumper came to VS and took over my event adding to my poor distances at other competitions this year, i knew i had no chance to participate. Adding to that, this year's track vest and all is a different colour. Also, i can't pon school to go and support my fellow team mates because i'm not in the team. Nevermind, i shall cheer them on while i'm in school. Today could have been my event day. Long jump. Argh. But looking back, i guessed the sacrifice i made was worth it. Investing in the things of the eternal is more worthy than investing in things of this world.
Today's a rather interesting day. I got up at 4am to catch the France vs Portugal match. First time. I came to a conclusion that soccer players are great actors. The fun part was when it was time for chinese class, in the later part of the day. As there is nothing to teach for chinese, my chinese teacher showed us the movie "I not stupid 2". I decided to stay in my form class next door, and play.. SOCCER. 2 on 2. Okay, i know it isn't that right. But oh well, we sec4s DO NEED to have some fun to destress. Yes, one window pane has already been broken 2days ago due to lack of ball control. But it wasn't us that broke the pane. :P The open space at the back of our spacious classroom is really a haven for aspiring ronaldos and henrys.
After a while, i felt guilty and went back to chinese class. I wanted to take a nap but somehow i carried on watching. As i watched i felt quite sad for the characters in the show, their plight of being given little attention to by their parents and all. Well, that isn't happening to me right now, but i know that there are many people whom i know who share the similar life shown on tv. It's just so sad. But wait, that's not all. Feeling sad for them was a start, after which i just felt this compassion for such people.
These people who are so broken, wounded and hurt on the inside. I was once like that. But God healed my heart and mended this broken heart of mine. If you don't believe you can just take a look at my earlier blog entries. "Depression", "Depression" and "Depression". These words were a recurring trend back then. It was even worse before i had this blog. These people really need to know God, they need Him to bring meaning back into their lives. So many teenagers out there, with broken families, lacking the love they yearned to received. I really wish i could bring them all to church and let them know how much God loves us. And that they are loved. Yes, you are loved by God! He loves you no matter how you look like, no matter how bad and dirty you are, He still loves you. Afterall, a doctor is to help the sick and it is the same here. You don't need to be perfect, flawless or sinless to know God. :)
Now for the 'old clique' gang part.
The 'old clique' gang as stated by i forgot who consists of myself, clarence, dudley, calista, cheryl teo, annabel and valerie. The seven of us. Different schools, same God. Well that clique was a thing of the past as it is stated as an 'old' clique. That was way back then in year 2004-05, if i'm not wrong. We always went out for movies and all. We were quite childish then, there were misunderstandings that plaqued us and happy moments remembered by all. We always went out together not just during the holidays, but other days as well. Soon, as time passed, more and more people started joining us when we go out. And *TATA* no more 'old' clique. Now if we go out among our age group people, there would be alot of people. Personally, i do not like going out in big groups as i have some phobia or something like that. But i still enjoy going out with my church friends. Afterall, it's the people that make an outing fun.
On monday, i went to do my CIP at marine parade library with dudley, calista and valerie. The details i will not emphasize. After that, we went to suntec to walk around while waiting for cheryl teo and annabel to come. We all decided to have dinner together. Sadly, calista had to leave and clarence was not with us. So it was just the five of us - me, dudley, cheryl teo, annabel, valerie. Only two were missing.
We were at raffles city and were looking for a place to eat. After much procastination and indecisiveness from us, as usual, we decided to eat at Burger King. That was when all the fun came to past. _______ said "why my coke so big?" and next moment our dearest dudley was there laughing till his face turned red. He looked at me, and immediately i understood and started laughing. The girls were still puzzled at our sudden outburst of laughter. BUT, they still laughed. LOL. Soon, all of us were laughing for no particular reason and became the centre of everyone's attention. It was really funny. I shall not say why.
After that, i brought them to swissotel which was within the building. We met this super pro pianist who was playing the grand piano at the hotel lobby. He's really good and really nice. He smiled to us and asked if we played the piano. When we left we waved to him, only to realise he couldn't wave back as he was playing. LOL. Then we were like "don't wave already, later he cannot play".
We went to the high class level taht elgin had brought me and handy to. It was really fun sneaking around. We went to the high class toilet and found this weird cubicle thingy which looked somewhat like multiple phone booth without phones. Soon, we went inside and starting posing for shots. Suddenly, there were people approaching. We quickly ran into the ___'s ______. And OH YES. It's a ___'s ______ ! And what were they doing there?! Somemore still can take photo. HAHA. I shall not go into the details. It is meant to be kept a secret. I wonder who, always like to go to ___'s ______. TSK! Haha!
It was really the most retarded time we ever had. A day we will never forget. If only calista and clarence were there, it would be even more fun! Nevermind, after the o's we shall go out again and explore other high class places. Set? Haha! 'Old clique', we're the best!
*Disclaimer: 'old clique' does not clique together anymore as in we don't stick among ourselves and talk only with each other. So yeah. We're not really a clique, it is just a term use to call what was of the past.
And oh yes! At last i have completed my 13hours of CIP as a librarian at Marine Parade library. Now i really hope i get my A2 for my CCA grading. It was kind of fun, experiencing what it was like to be a librarian at a library i literally grew up with. It reminded of all the good times and the 16books every other week i used to borrow and read in primary school.
