today, mom followed me out to go extend my passport. the weather was cool and it was a cloudy sky with LITTLE sunlight. and here was my mom carrying an umbrella. LOL. there wasn't much sunlight at all! in fact it was going to rain. my mom's just so unique.
then at the passport place, there was alot of people. i mean really A LOT. then i checked my passport and found out that....I DIDN'T HAVE TO RENEW IT AFTERALL!! -.-" haha. my mom grumbled a bit about having to go there for nothing. blah blah. haha. im sorry, but you have a blur son like me.
after that i went to play badminton with my fellow church friends. and alot of people came! yeah. after months of abstinence from badminton i found out i have totally lost touch. oh well. sports is always like that. we had a lifegroup badminton match. all 4 of us from I.G.N.I.T.E playing against each other. girls (angel&joanne) vs guys (me&elgin). guys won 15-8. we even had a "team" photo as shown, taken by elgin's camera.i haven't done any homework today. i'm feeling guilty. i think i should do some. haha. i think this is quite a meaningless post too. haha. my blog's getting mouldy, it's losing its vibrancy and getting dead. oh well. so please make it live. haha! for the sake of www.jtfied.blogspot.com. okay, i'm getting corny here.

today was my first o's paper. it was chinese paper. i guessed it must be pretty alright and easier because i could comprehend the passages. well at least 90%. HAHA. i totally misread the 2nd open ended comphre... i thought the girl had some sickness or something that's why cannot learn piano properly. LOL LOL LOL. actually it was referring to her ADMIRATION, not some sickness. nevermind, it's okay. chinese's just isn't my cup of tea. i only started preparing for my chinsese paper like 10 something last night. =\ dont worry ben i won't get f9 e8 or d7. oh btw, for those who didn't know. THE CHINESE CLOZE PASSAGE IS FROM AN ASSESSMENT BOOK!!!!!!! can you believe it?! from an assessment book?!!timothy had that book and he was like #$%#&%$&. LOL. because he forget to do that cloze on his book.
then went to watch xmen3 with church friends. and im like so arghhhh with the director lah.. he made the movie so different from the comic and the cartoon!! how can!? anyway the comic is also quite messy here and there. the effects are like woah.. i think it would be confusing for people who didnt watch the first and second movie. but you know what.. PROFESSOR X ISN'T DEAD YET. in the comic he became bad for a moment and destroyed manthattan when he became onslaught. i have a feeling cyclops isn't dead too. and btw, jean grey won't die so easily. she's like WOAH.. both in comic and movie. oh well, let's hope there's a xmen4.
i met many school people today in town. all the sec4s all go orchard. and i found out jake was actually watching in the same cinema as us after the movie. -.-" i didn't even know he was there. he and his red jacket again.
last night, i accidentally kicked my little toe against the drawer handle and it's like partially crushed? haha. it was bleeding and i was like quite taken aback. for a moment i thought my toe nail dropped out. it's still hurting now. haha. i think i'm afraid of blood. i still remember in primary 4 i cut myself with a fruit knife and at the sight of the blood i fainted and knocked my head on the wall. LOL. i think i fainted cos of seeing the blood.
i just so feel like going out and not going out. weird me.

lost is the best drama series ever. the season finale of lost season 2 was just breathtaking (btw, you can only download it). the scripting of the show is certainly the works of a genius. the perfect narrative essay it would be.
many questions were answered in the season finale. have you ever wondered why the plane crashed? they revealed it. how everything fits it's just so, i don't know what to say.
now for season 3! in i don't know how long more. haha. and channel 5's still stuck at the first few episodes of season 2. -.-"

today i got back my report book. my parents weren't happy.
i deproved by 40 positions in the level. how i wished i had not failed chemistry. my mother made it sound as if i did not study or put in effort into it and that's why i failed. but it really is not true. it really isn't. :( how i wish i just could have just 0.8 mark more. i put in the most effort for my chemistry. i studied hard. i paid alot of attention in class for chem. i did my work. i took the extra step of consulting miss lyana for help in my chem. i studied the most for it. yet i failed. why won't she understand. if i was an average student in an average school, i guess i won't be worrying so much about such issues. i wish studying can be leisure and not pressure.
nevermind. it's okay. im just over-reacting. everything happens for a reason.
i just realised the holidays have started. i guess it will not be much of a playing one. i really have to manage my time.
i really want to use my holidays to spend more time with God, while at the same time study hard. i might be thinking of becoming nocturnal. study from midnight to the next morning and sleep in the afternoons. afterall, i always waste my afternoons away.
just now, after prayer meeting, a certain few people spoilt my xmen3 movie next monday. i shall not mention who but you know who you are. HAHA. they told me EVERYONE THAT DIED. and HOW THEY DIED. -.-" ahhhhhhhh. but so sad lor. they all so fast die. i grew up with xmen and now the movie series end so fast!!
how sad. cry with me. just kidding.

what happens if you found 5 guys in 1 toilet cubicle?
LOL.
that's what happened today. at first me jake and dominic escape out of chinese class and went to toilet to send stuff to each other's handphone i THINK. we were hiding behind the door and taking stupid photos with the mirror.
then we decided it was not a safe place to hide so we went into the cubicle. yes three of us. suddenly some people entered the toilet and dom started shouting for fun at them. it was nigel. LOL. then he came in as well. -.-" den after that vermin tried jumping over, and we let him in. LOL. i know it sounds super sick and gay. five guys in one cubicle. all of us from the same chinese class. LOL. 4hours of chinese lessons really isn't no joke. so of course we must find ways to entertain ourselves. then some great fellow decided that we should take photos. -.-" and yes we did. it's so neoprint like. =
half the time of chinese lesson, i wasn't in class, so were the other half of the class. LOL. it was quite chaotic with the prefect election thingy and health check. everybody just walked in and out of class just like that.
today during the last session of the resilency course only SEVEN PEOPLE from our class turned up. amazing. haha. me, darren, jonathan edwards and junliang sat on the last row nearest the exit. WHY? because they wanted to escape away and me as well. =x LOL. then we slept for like 1hr15min in the auditorium first before making our escape. first jon ed ran out very fast. then junliang ran out but i think the guy saw him. then when the guy turned away me and darren ran out. LOL. it was quite fun. first time i ever escape from a course. but at least we attended. :P
the photos we took (dont worry we ain't colin and kero) -

jake's shirt is so big it can hide me and dom.

five guys, one cubicle.

still 5 guys, one cubicle.

today arrived. the mid year results are finally out.
YES. i really failed chemistry to my dismay. :( 49.2 miss lyana could not find just 1 mark because everything was crap. LOL. according to her. the first time i ever failed any subject in an SA. i just realised i did not fail my chinese before in SA.
BUT.....my despair was short-lived. I GUESS. for a moment.
BECAUSE I GOT 80 FOR AMATHS!!! so happy!!! XD after so long i finally managed to get A1 and 2nd in class for amaths. 1st place is untouchable by changyang. he got 90 something btw... -.-" looks lyk my tuition teacher is good! i really really wanna thank God!! but the thing was that i got all the easy questions wrong.. =
another shocker was that my geog paper1 pulled me up THREE GRADES FROM E8 TO C5. wahahahaha. although c5 isn't anything to be proud of. i got 32/40 for my paper1 mcq and 44.5/100 for my paper2 -.-" i really wasted alot of ink and effor writing down my answers because i answered everything wrongly. -.-"
so in total my l1r5 is 21 points. deprove by 7points. now alot of people catch up with me in my best few subjects. but it's okay. i just have to work harder. the rest of the subjects were pretty okay.
i find this very weird. the subjects i put in the most effort during my exam period which were geography and chemistry performed the worst. and thes subjects i never put in as much effort like my amaths, emaths (my only other A), physics and GEOG PAPER 1 (i was playing the past few days b4 it) apparently did quite well. examinations are just SO WEIRD. it's so unfair lah. i rather do well for a subject i studied hard for. grrr. once again my maths saved me, as usual.
i went home and told my mom i got 2nd in class for amaths with 80 marks and she was like "What?!! 80 marks only?!..." -.-" haha. expectations of parents nowadays are really high. what to do. next time, i will never have high expectations of my kids and i will encourage them no matter what! LOL. (i hope i remember what i say)
anyway, thanks to all who were concerned. im not affected by it. neither is it good nor bad. :)

I must really thank God for His grace and mercy today. i was on duty to play keyboard for youth service today along with emma. it was my second time. i was assigned to play the praise songs. somehow we spent most of the time during worship practice practising the worship songs. and somehow we were only left with TEN minutes to practise the two praise songs that i was supposed to play.
i was like inside me "oh no.. oh no.. how? so little time?!" we briefly went through the songs and i made like ALOT of mistakes. after that during pre-service prayer i was quite nervous and anxious about what would happened if i played all the mistakes out during the youth service. but i felt God was telling me to trust him and have faith! i was still quite nervous but i submitted to His will.
during youth service, i PLAYED PROPERLY. i was like shocked and amazed. because it's like only ten minutes to practise two songs, and i still didn't know how to play. through this incident, i believe God was really testing my faith and also to rely on HIM and not my skills and all. wow. so wonderful. praise the Lord!
and another thing. I FINALLY MET ROY TODAY. YES I MET HIM. today clarence brought him to church with another SA guy. it's like FOUR YEARS since we last talked or saw each other and he's still the same!!! by the way, he was my primary school classmate and he was the same class as me from primary 2 to 6. and we were very good friends! but it was a pity in secondary school we lost contact. AHHHH. i still can't believe i finally met him. so cool. first brandon chua (also another sajs ex-classmate) in english tuition, now him! too bad he had to leave early to go his grandma's place for dinner. who would be next?
in the morning, we had some geography trip to URA centre for some exhbition and talk. and it was like the place is so nice. (i meant the exhibits and all) we even had this game show like thingy that somehow looked like that of the weakest link. -.-" then we rested in this area with bean bag chairs and i accidentally spilled the contents of the bean bag. HAHA. then we faster ran away.
then we had this talk on the settlement stuff of Singapore stuff i think. i left halfway through because i had to be in church early for worship practice. i had my lunch at MAXWELL FOOD CENTRE next door. and i was like *jaw drop* SO MUCH GOOD FOOD. alot of famous stalls there. the goreng pisang, the curry rice i ate was like heavenly. ahhhhhhhhhh. no wonder dinner at united square was so tasteless after having such a wonderful lunch. oh well.
i am finally able to go to church tommorrow on sunday! after being missing in action for so long on sunday services due to tuitions and exams, it really feels great! i should not take sunday service for granted anymore. next sunday doubt i can go because of tuition! :(
monday's coming soon. sigh sigh sigh. next next monday's coming soon too.

today was a GREAT day out.
john was late. jacob reached very early. and im my usual 5minutes late. what's new.
the isetan private sales was quite a disappointment. john wanted to get a top from topshop and ended up getting one from levi's. jake had to spend money not on himself but on clothes for two other people. *ahem* and i was supposed to buy a pair of jeans and a collar shirt but came out with a pair of jeans. OH WELL. haha.
i met stefan there. like after SO LONG. we finally met. i still can remember the fun times we had when i went for jake's church camp in dec 2004. haha i knew him through the camp. he has certainly grown taller and has a deeper voice. he said to me "eh... why you still so skinny ah?!" den he started pointing towards me. LOL.
after like being stuck in that place for 2hours++ we went to NYDC at wheelocks place to have our er.. appetizer for dinner? mudpies. yes we ordered mudpies. jake had his own while me and john shared one. how romantic aint it? (more like no money to spare) after that we went home. (sorry for the abrupt ending) hahaha.
i met samuel oh and two of my other juniors with him on the 53 bus back! so cool! i always meet people on that bus.
my sister's going to london to study for the next 3years i think if all goes well. and that's certainly going to be interesting. i see the fees is like woah. so much. my dad says she go university graduate and work to pay for my education in future! lol!! it would be super cool lah if she comes back with an ANGMO BOYFRIEND. and if she marries an angmo. SO COOL LAH. i will have super cute nephews and nieces. -.-" okay. that's not the point. BUT STILL QUITE COOL RIGHT. XD
some pics of today-

our lovely mudpies. left was mine and john's, right was jake's

what's a 5cent change doing there?! haha.

me, jake and john. singapore very cold right jake?

oh yeah! i forgot to post something really important.
i just want to thank ALL the people who have supported, encouraged, prayed and helped me through the past three weeks of my examination life.
i REALLY REALLY want to thank you. you know who you are and i know who you are. and i REALLY REALLY appreciate it alot. i think i would have given up if not for your support and all. :)
yups! bad results really isn't the end of everything. i've looked at it positively! and if i did well, i won't be starting my revision now, neither will i work hard in june. so i can really say it's a blessing in disguise!
haha. i finally got my limited edition 1/100 scale infinite justice gundam yesterday! yes!!!!! wahaha.
that's all for now. going towning/clothes hunting with john and jacob. XD

mid years are finally over.
and im in no state to rejoice.
yes. i FAILED TWO SUBJECTS SO FAR.
i failed my geog paper2 and got 40something only according to miss sharma.
AND i failed my chem overall. 49.2!! argh!!! this is really depressing. i really wish it's isn't true. how on earth can i fail chemistry?!!!
i mean it's not like i didn't pay attention, skip all my homework, didn't study blah blah. i mean last year i admit i did not have a clue about chemistry but i still passed!! this year at least i knew more but i failed!!!
im really still in a state of shock. in my upper sec the only subject i ever failed is CHINESE. yes. CHINESE. i would never fail any subject. but now it's not one BUT TWO. who knows if there might be more? i mean it's not like my other subjects did very well.
yes yes. i am going to double my l1r5 from CA1. confirm hit above 20. and this is like the most important exam before prelims? my goodness. everybody's improving while here i am DEPROVING.
WHY? WHY? WHY? i asked myself that question so many times but i still don't know. this is really not the best time to be failing any subjects or coming close to failing.
sigh. i've lost my confidence, high hopes, big dreams and all.
NEVERMIND. that still does not restrict me from rejoicing in the Lord! no, im not going to blame God or anybody this time. fail or pass, F9 or A1, ITE or JC i believe God wants the best for me. :)
for the moment, i shall just keep this to myself and go out and relax and all. i only plan to tell my parents next week when the official results are out! haha! i wonder what their reaction will be. i mean, seriously.
actually, something just changed my mood. it was just this 1 email that changed it all. in it was a reminder that...1/100 INFINITE JUSTICE GUNDAM IS SELLING TML!!!! WAHAHAHAHHAH. THE LIMITED EDITION ONES. IM SO GONNA RUSH DOWN TO TOWN AND BUY. haha. and to those people who thought i was over with gundam. IM SORRY. it's not over yet. :D
I SHALL START DOING THE LAMEST THING ANYONE COULD DO. start doing revision for o's today. -.-"

TODAY SHALL BE THE CHILDHOOD DAYS POST.

this photo was ripped off from this site http://www.moe.gov.sg/. hmm. i wonder what are they trying to portray. one young acs boy left hand hold scg, right hand hold rg and ng. LOL. maybe they were trained from young?? haha. what is your best caption for this picture??
you can view many captions here at The Students' Sketchpad. you really can roll off your chair. let your imaginative juices flow.
jusst earlier today, my parents showed me a photo album of myself and my sister plus some other family photos. my immediate reaction was *GASPS* "YOU SURE THAT IS ME?!?!!!"
i had forgotten how i had looked like. and goodness.. it doesn't look like my present self. what a pity. LOL.
i shall post some of the photos here. (click to view a larger version)

This was when i was just a few months old. so chubby! sommore "spike hair".

This was when i was two. So innocent looking. (and still is at present day =X)

This was in p3 in Cairns (australia). Look at that naughty boy.

This was in p4 in Adelaide(australia) Look how fat i was.. HAHAHAHA.

This was in p4 in Melbourne(australia). Look at that even naughtier look!! My sister looks like a guy, looks like a younger version of my dad. haha! someone once commented to my mom upon seeing this photo "ehhh.. you got two sons is it??" LOL.

THREE YEARS later in sec1 in sydney(i think). i finally..1.lost weight 2.became more tanned 3.learn how to smile properly. WAHAHAH.
so cool right!! by the way, if you realised, most of the photos are taken in Australia.. that's because i went there for holiday every year. -.-" geog students will be able to identify with the coastal landforms! haha! just the same as what we learnt from our textbooks.
i really laughed real hard with my parents as i saw the naughty boy look i had. those was just a few. still got many more! but it's really so... nevermind.
moral of the story:
firstly. if you're fat or rather think you're fat, YOU WILL SLIM DOWN. haha! just look at how fat i was last time. (these photos are considered quite skinny)
secondly. if your younger sibling looks like neither gender, DON'T WORRY. because my sister looks much more femine now. but still no guys chasing her. LOL. i think. (please don't kill me sis if you're reading this) just kidding.
thirdly. if you were innocent looking when you're young, YOU WILL STILL BE. just like me now. HAHA. just kidding.
im sorry if this post doesnt link much. please dont take what i say seriously. :D especially my sister part.

just now i had a very cool dream.
i got up early at 8.15. and went back to sleep.
i dreamt that i was waking up and washing up and did everything very fast.
i was soooo happy in my dream because i knew i was early and had time to prepare for piano lesson.
reality struck me when i woke up. i had overslept by 15minutes and my piano teacher was supposed to come at 9am. LOL. thankfully she came just when i woke up.
HAHA. the feeling is just so deceiving. i seldom get dreams. perhaps thanks to the adequete amount of sleep i am able to dream dreams. :)

IT'S OVER. ALL MY MAJOR PAPERS ARE OVER.
i'm so glad, i'm so relieved. the days of TORMENT are over.
but there is still TWO more papers. amaths p2 and geog p1. haha. don't really need to study.
i am so not confident of doing well this time round. i think i'll probably hit 20points for l1r5 and that is really... nothing to say.
i mean it's not like i did not study or so. i tried what i could. studying at an average of 5hours everyday for the past THREE weeks. goodness. my brain is totally drained of its energy. it was such a physical, mental and emotional torture.
suffering in the vincity of the four walls that enclose the helpless me. suffering in silence while everyone else in the house carries on their everyday work. the stress accumulated. i really hate it.
yesterday, my brain could not take it no longer. i can't believe i gave up just like that. and today was GEOGRAPHY PAPER 2. must study because we have to write essay long answers and if you don't study you will fail. it was around eight plus at night yesterday. i was still able to make it. BUT my brain just did not allowed me to. i tried and tried and screamed within BUT it still didn't help. and so i resigned to the fact that i could no longer study. perhaps it was the studying of chemistry and the chemistry paper that led to that. chemistry paper was a disaster too. :(
in the end, i told myself to relax and went down and play.......pangya. -.-" yes yes yes. i'm not addicted okay. i just need a break. geog paper was er..."GREAT". i ended up doing 2 human geog questions which i did not even read through or study at all!! (by the way 1 question = 25marks) haha. miss sharma's gonna scold me for all the crappy answers i wrote.
For example.(questions were phrased abit similiar)
Explain why did people migrate from rural areas into urban areas? (5marks)
The city very nice! In the city can go shopping and can go play.
(yes that was part of my answer, it was intentional)
Using 2 examples. Explain the negative effects of international migration on the donor country. (5marks)
Bangladesh. Because the construction workers go to other countries and work so nobody left to build their country.
(LOL. just some random answer i gave)
now you see how bad it can get?? but i'm still okay! as in i'm not gonna slit my wrist or go jump or something...in the end....it's ONLY MID YEARS :D
and yes. i finally went out today. 11 of us from class went to watch mission impossible 3 in town. it's a good show. the effects and action is like....WOAH...mind blowing.
to end it all. i really wanna thank God for bringing me through this 3weeks! if not i think i already gave up long ago. :)

elections are over. workers's party lost in my area (aljunied) by not alot. life goes on.
well. that's not the main thing i want to talk about.
during yesterday's youth service, pastor ben preached about a simple yet important topic on faith. i got very convicted when he quoted from the bible that without faith it is impossible to please God. and that got me stunned for a moment because i forgot about this and all along i had tried to do various things in my own strength, leaving out the whole part about faith in my life. and i knew i had to do something.
the area in my life that i found myself lacking the most faith is perhaps my education and my future. well, this year is a very crucial year as it determines which JC (yes, i want to go to JC not poly) i go to and various other factors. many times i always thought of what would happen if my o's went wrong and i get a double digit score and don't end up in VJC, what would happen? how would i react to the setback and all. i mean i dont want to do badly for another major examination. the last major examination which was PSLE made me very depressed and sad with my results as compared to my sister's brilliant results. all along i had been aiming for the o's to account for my PSLE. but actually im quite thankful i didn't do beeter, if not i would not end up in such a great school like VS. i had certainly LACKED FAITH in God that He would give me a good future no matter whether i did well or badly. i repented and told God i will learn to trust Him in my future.
today i decided to exercise my faith! i was VERY TIRED. i had woke up early for physics tuition at 9am, and slept late the night before due to the general elections results and err pangya. =\ i came home after tuition and did my quiet time with God and asked Him to help me not to be tired. after that i just took a nap on the sofa for 40minutes. when i woke up i was SHOCKED. i was full of energy, as if i had slept for hours. im serious! normally im the type that wont sleep so short, an afternoon nap will last at least 3hours and if it's that short i will be even more tired. that's what faith can do! and wait! that's not all. after waking up i went to have my instant noodles lunch while playing pangya (no im not addicted!) and started doing my work at 2.30pm. to be specific, i was doing my corrections and completing the section B of the VS 2005 Chemistry Mid Year Paper2. next thing i knew, it was 5.50pm! it felt like half an hour because i had so much concentration and energy! (maybe that's the reason why this post is so long too) i mean it's 3hours and 20minutes non-stop! i didn't get out of my room to do anything. normally i will do work 1hour+, then go to the computer for 1hour and the process repeats. i am still in a state of awe.
to sum the whole chunk of words up, i really have to give all praise, honour and glory to God for all that has happened. not testifying about it would be robbing him of His glory.
Faith. :)

polling day is tommorrow. last night i came across various blogs set up specially for the elections. and, i found out MANY INTERESTING STUFF.
Just some photos i have picked out.
Worker's Party Rally at Ang Mo Kio
Worker's Party Rally at Tampines
Worker's Party Rally at Hougang. (just look at how many people there are, and to add to that, it's only the central part of the crowd. the camera lens wasn't able to capture the rest)
Worker's Party Rally at Ubi
PAP Rally at Tampines
PAP rally at Hougang
i believe that photos can speak a million words. and i'm sure most people would not have noticed that such a phenomenon did happened. yes, right here in singapore. these pictures really get me thinking. asking myself...
what accounts for the vast difference in the number of people at rallies?
what is it that the people are attracted to, or what circumstances may have led them to attending such rallies, which is so stuffy and crowded?
what are the push and pull factors?
have you ever wondered why such infomation does not get across to you so readily (if you didn't know it in the first place)
have you ever wondered why the headlines of the HOME section of The Straits Times doesn't state in bold "20,000 turned up at Worker's Party Rally in Hougang" while the headlines are splashed with a certain victim's name?
it really calls for alot thinking. doesn't it? i'm not implying anything as i don't want to get sued. but i shall leave you to draw up your own conclusion.
all this are my views. views from a 15year old teenager to be specific.
but despite all these, i still think the PAP will win most of the seats giving their mass popularity they have with the older generation. it was certainly the PAP that brought this group of people out of the kampungs and slums into HDB flats in the 1960s. certainly, their gratitude towards the PAP would secure the PAP a portion of the votes.
however, more and more people of the younger generation are being able to vote. people whom personally have not tasted hardship. people who were brought up under singapore's intensive education system. the people who were the very victims of the education system, streaming to be more specific. so will they support the main political party? i think that's a question they should seriously look into. in 2 elections time it's my time to vote. (i'll be 20 in the next elections, still not old enough. haha.)
i myself am not a fervent supporter of such a system. i study because i know if i dont't study hard, i won't do well and get into the best schools in singapore and i won't make it in life. that's how so many other students feel as well. but don't worry that's not the only reason why i study.
that's all i have to say for now. please note that these are my views. and they may not be true. so please don't quote anything here as an evidence against certain issues or so.
Amaths paper today was a brisk. i really have to thank God. the first exam that i was rather relaxed or perhaps too relaxed till i didn't have time to finish my last question. -.-"
8 papers down, only 6 more papers left. (like that's going to help alot -.-")
the education system... is really driving us nuts.
next week monday-HISTORY, tuesday-CHEMISTRY, wednesday-GEOGRAPHY. goodness. i seriously hope i can survive this ordeal. the three subjects that requires the most amount of studying. SIGH. i don't know what would to do if i didn't have such a great God.
